Mobiles phones use “packet technology” to transmit data. Each “packet” of data contains an “address” of the phone it is being sent to. Your phone decodes ONLY those packets addressed to it.

The cell phone takes the sound waves of your voice and converts them to a digital signal. Those digital signals are then assembled into a “packet” of data. At the same time, the “packet” is given an address of the closest cell tower.

All the computers attached to the cell towers determine which phone the “packet” is going to, and the computers on the ground route the packet through the easiest network path to the cell tower closest to the phone being called. that cell tower then transmits the packet to the cell phone.

Since the “packet” has the “address” of only ONE specific phone, ONLY that phone can decode the packet. ALL of the other packets that may be floating around, even those on the same frequency, are ignored.

Will “The Solomon Key” provide real insight into Masonic symbolism, or just tell us what they want us to think

Question by PAUL: Will “The Solomon Key” provide real insight into Masonic symbolism, or just tell us what they want us to think
If the Freemasons are a branch of the world’s ruling elite and they have a “master plan,” whether it is in the best interest of everyone else or not, wouldn’t they prefer to remain as a secret society?

Say that this organization was tied to the most powerful organization in the world; imagine a system similar to that in the book 1984 where only the news and information that they choose is that which is released, and everything else is destroyed or altered.

“History is written by the winners,” it is said, which is interchangeable with “History is written by those who hold the most power.”

Enter Dan Brown, who claims to be someone who will provide us with the answers these questions that people are beginning to ask about Freemasons, Illuminati, and Skull and Bones.

If the nature of these organizations is indeed a secret and it is in their best interest to keep it that way, then they wouldn’t want someone revealing their secrets, would they?
You would think that such a group has power that is at LEAST equal to that of an organized crime gang like the Mafia, so they wouldn’t hesitate to kill someone, especially if they are above the law.

So then who is Dan Brown? Merely an agent of these organizations, sent to give us an idea of what we SHOULD THINK about these symbols and organizations?

If he was really telling us the truth, wouldn’t his life be in danger?

This question is posted to Mythology and Folklore because it deals with something that many would regard as “Conspiracy Theory.” But I think it is far more ignorant and dangerous to believe that everything we’re told is the truth.
god of thunder, I was about to post a disclaimer asking people to refrain from answering if they felt this was nothing more than inane conspiracy theorist drivel, but I had hoped that people would use their better judgment and it appears you have not.

Okay, so if you’re a Freemason then what degree are you? I hardly doubt you’re deep enough in it to know what the hell I’m talking about.
Then what rank/level/degree are you?

You haven’t even backed up your argument as to why my question is stupid. You only called it stupid and said you were a mason. That’s hardly credible enough to be a legitimate argument.

Well I have absolutely no hopeof you believing this, but everything you just wrote is garbage. none of it’s true. I’m a Freemason, so i ought to know. but like i said, you get a kick out of having your little conspiracy theories, so go ahead and believe what you want. haha you are probably wondering if the msons knew you were going to post this question, and that’s why i answered so fast. ridiculous

Hmmm, you’ve got a good point there……. I think.
Garnishing wages seems a poor method for routine health care….
If people don’t want health insurance, why should they be forced to get it? Except for their minor children of course, unless they could afford any health care their children need.
But taking money from big corporations to buy health insurance for people who don’t even want it? That’s ridiculous.

Q&A: Why do Republicans keep lying when they say the majority are against Obama’s health care reform bill?

Question by gitrdoneobama: Why do Republicans keep lying when they say the majority are against Obama’s health care reform bill?
Newsweek Poll Feb. 17-18, 2010.

“As you may know, Barack Obama has proposed a plan to change this country’s health care system. From what you have seen or heard about what he has proposed, what is your OVERALL opinion of Obama’s health care reform plan - do you favor it or oppose it?”

40% Favor / 49% Oppose

“Now I’m going to read you some SPECIFIC proposals people have made to change the health care system. As I read each one, please tell me if you personally favor or oppose this change. Here’s the first/next proposal. . . .”

“Creating a new insurance marketplace - the Exchange — that allows people without health insurance to compare plans and buy insurance at competitive rates” 81% Favor / 13% Oppose

“Requiring health insurance companies to cover anyone who applies, even if they have a pre-existing medical condition” 76% Favor / 19% Oppose

“Requiring most businesses to offer health insurance to their employees, with tax incentives for small business owners to do so” 75% Favor / 25% Oppose

“Requiring that all Americans have health insurance, with the government providing financial help to those who can’t afford it” 59% Favor / 36% Oppose

“Preventing insurance companies from dropping coverage when people are sick” 59% Favor / 38% Oppose

“Creating a government-administered public health insurance option to compete with private plans” 50% Favor / 42% Oppose

“Now please think about the proposals I just described to you. ALL of these proposals are included in Barack Obama’s health care reform plan. Having heard these details, what is your OVERALL opinion of Obama’s plan — do you favor it or oppose it?”

48% FAVOR / 43% OPPOSE

http://www.pollingreport.com/health2.htm

Americans do support the health care reform bill, after they have heard the details.
Okay, so what are people against in this bill then that would make vote against it?
Obviously they are not against the cost, because this bill will pay for itself and lower the deficit by 130 billion

98% of Americans will not see extra taxes

30 million more Americans will have access to health care

Hmm…I’m still waiting for an answer…
Only 1% of businesses will see an extra tax on top of that

what does a “computer information systems” do and how much do they get paid?

Question by Edwin M: what does a “computer information systems” do and how much do they get paid?

is there a lot of math involved like in being a computer engineer?

Best answer:

Answer by Tomasthanes
That’s the difference between “computer science” and “computer information systems”.

In “computer science” you take calculus and discrete structures so that if someone asks you whether that sort algorithm is the correct one, you can show them the mathematical proof that it is.

In “computer information systems”, you take business math so that if someone asks you whether the sort algorithm is the correct one, you shrug your shoulders and tell them that the software they need is within their departmental budget.

Most “computer science” people either end up in hardware or software development. Most “computer information systems” people end up in the data center actually running the computers. That’s where I work. The company I work for pays me a very, fair salary.
